Glenhaultin is a Super Insulated Low Energy House
All Hot Water and Underfloor Heating Water is provided by first circulating Fluid around 400m of Pipe buried in the Croft Land surrounding Glenhaultin, before a Heat Pump converts this into a Higher Grade Heat. The Heat Pump then Distributes the Hot Water between the Underfloor Heating and the Showers & Baths
100% of the Electricity used in Glenhaultin comes from 100% Renewable Sources such as Wind Farms and Hydro Power
Electrical Appliances used in Glenhaultin are always the Highest Energy Star Rating we can get
All Bedrooms are Individually Temperature controlled via Digital Thermostats, Bathrooms are on separate Underfloor Heating Circuits for more Comfort & Control
Showers are fitted with Eaga Shower Smart Devices which save both Energy & Water without in any way degrading the quality of the Showering Experience
A Program of replacing Low Energy Compact Flourescent Spot Lights throughout Glenhaultin has already started, by replacing them with even Lower Energy LED Bulbs when the need arises. 14 Halogen Picture Light Bulbs have already been replaced with incredibly Low (2W) LED Bulbs
Guest utilities such as Kettles are Low Energy Design. Even the Computers in the Guest Rooms are of Incredibly Low Wattage, as are the 32" LED Televisions
Each 2 Weeks, Recyclable Materials are collected at the Kerbside. Glass Bottles & Jars are taken to the Local Bottle Banks Located beside the Local Supermarket. Most of the Used Newspapers are usually Recycled by ourselves

Works are almost Complete for Adding a Solar Thermal Array to Supplement our Ground Source Heat Pump. Works have started and once again are almost complete for installing a Wood Burning Stove
Glenhaultin was designed to not have long Dark Corridors that would need a lot of Lighting, but rather be fed Natural Light from the South-East facing Rear and the Front of the House
